Hello to all,
I am a newbie from fedora. I dont know much about linux so i decide to explore it through gentoo This is my first question so be nice to me even if it sound F dumb
I read the gentoo handbook already although i have not done anything specific to install gentoo. What i understand about the linux system is that the kernel contains some drivers which are built into it and it also have ability to load other external driver (modules) when needed. So my question is after i config and build the kernel, how can i build the driver modules? and which modules should be built into the kernel? I intend to use gentoo to play game with my geforce 6200 so what can i do with the installation file provided by nvidia on gentoo? Through the handbook, i dont see any step that tell me how to build the kernel modules such as graphic driver.
Hope to get some advice from the community :d
