|
|
Hi!
I'm trying to install FreeRadius on and AMD64 box. After emerging version 1.0.5, I try to start it and I get:
Code: |
* Config not ok! (try /usr/sbin/check-radiusd-config )
|
So I run that command and I get (after several other checks that seem to be successful):
Code: |
radiusd.conf[9] Failed to link to module 'rlm_eap': rlm_eap.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
|
Looking in /usr/lib there seems not to be and rlm_eap.so file, and I think that's the problem.
I just installed the same FreeRadius on an x86 machine and I get no error at all. Also, the file rlm_eap.so is correcly in place (/usr/lib), unlike on the AMD64 box.
Any hint on why rlm_eap fails to install on AMD64 (at least, on my box)?
Thanks in advance, Michele. _________________ Michele Beltrame

It's no longer masked (v1.1.1), but there still seem to be the same issues.
Code: | Module: Library search path is /usr/lib
radiusd.conf[1482] Failed to link to module 'rlm_exec': libradius-1.1.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |

Got the same and solved it thiis way:
1) unmerge freeradius 1.1.0
2) do ls -l /usr/lib/*rad*
you will notice some radius files (libradius-1.1.0.so is one of them) remained in /usr/lib: delete them!
3) emerge freeradius 1.1.1
4) try /usr/sbin/check-radiusd-config
it should say the config it's not ok.
5) comment two "eap" lines in radiusd.conf (/usr/sbin/check-radiusd-config will tell you the line number)
6) start freeradius, this time it should work
Anyway it's would be better to fill in a bug on bugzilla... will do in next few days... |
