Hola, recientemente he comprado una Avermedia Studio 203.

He compilado el kernel y al poner xawtv, se veía bien la tele, pero al rato la pantalla se ponía en negro, y no podía cambiar de terminal, así que tenía que reiniciar.

La radio también funciona bien.

El caso es que actualizando al último kernel, y a los últimos drivers de la nvidia, parece que ya no se cuelga.

Pero todavía hay un par de cosas que me mosquean: antes tenía en otro ordenador una Avermedia 98, y al poner el xawtv se iniciaba instantáneamente. Sin embargo con la nueva tarjeta en otro ordenador más moderno casi un minuto en iniciarse. En este tiempo la CPU se pone al 100%, y deja el resto del ordenador que apenas se puede mover el ratón.

Luego aparece la tele sin problemas, pero deja un unos mensajes en dmesg (los 3 últimos):

Además otra cosa extraña es que en modo overlay, al hacer la ventana grande (sobre todo al maximizarla) se muestran rallas y la imagen se estropea.

Sospecho que tiene que ver con el driver de la nvidia. Tengo una GeForce 6600. Aquí el lspci:

Realmente no puedo ayudarte en tu proble, pero me interesa saber con que programas logras correr la radio.

Si usas eix para buscar paquetes, verás que con
Code:
eix -S radio
te salen algunos.

Yo tengo dos paquetes instalados: fmtools y xmms-fmradio.

El primero te pone la radio con el comando: "fm 91.3" para sintonizar la frecuencia 91.3.

El segundo es un plugin para xmms y lo único que necesitas es crear un fichero vacio con extensión fmr, añadirlo como cualquier otro fichero (como un mp3) a la lista de reproducción, y SIN hacer doble click, pinchas la tecla derecha del ratón y seleccionas "ver información sobre el archivo", luego pones el nombre de la emisora y la frecuencia y guardas el fichero. Esto es un poco cutre, pero no he encontrado ninguna lista de ficheros fmr con emisoras ni nada similar, ni más información, así que he probado con lo del fichero vacío y funciona.

para kde tenéis también kradio.

Respecto a tu problema la verdad que no sé, me he metido a ver si había alguna respuesta porque yo también ando enfangado con una tarjeta de tv.
¿Has probado otro programa? Tvtime, kdetv...??

Si, kdetv arranca más rápido pero se ve con menos calidad (parece que no usa overlay). Aún así con kdetv aparecen más mensajes de error que con xawtv. TvTime no pilla los canales. Por el momento me quedo con xawtv, pero tengo que esperar un buen rato a que arranque.
