I'd like to know if there are commands for the logout dialog and show desktop panel buttons in GNOME, I'd like to use custom icons for them...

Logout dialog I am not sure, but I'm pretty sure ctl+alt+d shows the desktop.

I need a command, you know, what you enter in a terminal, not a key combo :D

there is no command for show desktop and i seriously doubt there is one for logout
Why not just change the icons in the icon theme?
