When opening a pdf in kpdf the program shows one page and then friezes (only the program, at least!). When opening the fil from konqueror I get always the same error message for each single file and I don't know what kind of "subfiles" or so, file names with numbers behind, that I don't know:

Invalid entry (missing '=' ) at [and file-names]

xpdf works, so it seems to be a kpdf-related problem but I did not find anything in the forums about this thing. Can anyone help me? If there are kpdf-configs you might need, please tell me!! Thanks.

Which version do you use?

Your problems sound simular to those I had with kpdf 3.4.2. Kpdf 3.4.3 brought lots of bugfixing.

Sorry, I forgot to mention (I wrote it in another thread yesterday..) I'm using KDE 3.4.1-r1 on PPC, the last stable. With something so fundamental and important (and with so many dependencies) as KDE I don't want to install the instable versions. Now I suppose neither 3.4.2 nor 3.4.3 will become stable, but I hope in 3.5.

You can still use kghostview if you prefer kde apps. Worked always fine for me.
