when do you an emerge gentoo--sources does it have to point to a specify directory or being in a specify directory for this step? because in the next it asks to do Code: | ls -l /usr/src/linux | .. any help or clarification would be helpful _________________ harushimo |

You don't have to be in a special directory or give a directory as an argument, but how dows it "ask"?
Kernel sources will always get installed to /usr/src/linux-<version>
/usr/src/linux is mostly a symlink to the actual version of sources (can be linked automatically while emerging by setting "symlink" use-flag in make.conf) |
