I've just installed Gnome 2.12.1 on an x86_64 system - only to discover that the "Run application" menu item isn't and that ALT-F2 doesn't work either. All I really did was to put the packages needed for gnome 2.12.1 as ~amd64 in /etc/portage/package.keywords and emerge it.

Anyone else run into this? it's kind of a showstopper for me - I use ALT-F2 a lot.

my make.conf:
Code:

Did you look in the Desktop->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts if the run application is assigned to it and if not set it?

That's just the thing - Keyboard Shortcuts is missing also. I'm suspecting major breakage here.. going to try to re-emerge stuff and see what happens.
