HP 4070 Scanner

i'm about to buy a scanner...
my box is running gentoo and i'd like to keep it that way...
does any one know if HP 4070 scanner is supported by gentoo?....
if not.. could i get it working with windows under vmware? or should i make a M$ Winshit partition

Hi

I have no experience with scanners under linux, but have you read the Linux Scanner HOWTO and the Homepage of SANE?

Btw, according to SANE, your HP 4070 Photosmart is not yet supported...
