Okay, My last bootstrap time was 37 hours, now this time, it had an elapsed time of 17 hours and then I was an idiot and let the battery die. Now, I ran the script again, and it goes through the list, and then on the section: 3/3 Emerge Packages: cp: cannot stat '/var/run/boostrap-mtimedb' No such file or directory. emerge: it seems we have nothing to resume...

You should now add the -e option when emerging the system:

emerge -e system



So essentially...it is done...? And it is telling me to proceed with emerging system? Yet it is missing something? Wow, so confused. Anyone got any clue? Or should I just proceed with emerging the system?

Bootstrap is supposed to create the compilers and the necesary libs. Try emerge system, or whatever. If it works good, if not, start over (from step 1).

Hey my computer's harddrive crashed 10min after finishing the install.

I had to buy a new monitor. And had to go to hospital for the head injury.

Have you ever smashed your head into a computer screan? That wasn't evan the bad part. Can you imagine how the doctor looked at me when i told him what had happened to me? He was on the floor laughing.
