Hi, I'm running xfce4 and xfterm4 as my terminal within it.
I have several machines, on one machine the xfterm4 has a scrollbar along the left hand side. I can scroll back and read terminal history. On the other machines, no such scrollbar.
Any idea why? Thanks,

iirc, xfterm is just a script that searches for a terminal program to run (e.g. xterm, gnome-terminal, eterm). _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |

OK, so it seems to be launching xterm in both cases.
Same question then for xterm... how do I get a scrollbar? Thanks, |

Sure, just call xterm -sb to force a scroll bar. You can either edit the xfterm script or just change your launcher to call this command instead. HTH _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |
