I've got a problem getting better debugging information from the cisco-vpnclient-3des.

Kernel: 2.6.13-gentoo-r5
Client: cisco-vpnclient-3des-4.6.03.0190

I've no compile problemes, as described in other topics.
lsmod shows the cisco_ipsec module loaded, and the vpnclient init.d script starts without issues.

However when I execute:
vpnclient connect <profile>
I get:
Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client
Reason: Bad Parameter
There are no new notification messages at this time

The config is a straight forward config file, using a group_name/assword and user_name/password no certs.
The config file works fine on the windows client, but I have been unable to make it work on the linux client.
Same goes if I edit the Host entry in the sample.pcf file.

Is there a way to increase the debug level of the client, which will enable me to locate the error?

Can you debug it using ddd/gdb?

How about using 'strace' to see where it failed within your configuration file?
