Gimp dialog windows won't raise.

Hi people...

As in subject, whenever I open a dialog window (eg configuring some effect) the window won't raise automatically, but stays in the background, and the KDE taskbar starts blinking the "gimp" tab. I have to click the tab and look for the right window. As you can imagine, that is quite annoying and making me think to try Gimp on windows

This only happens with Gimp, other apps behave the right way, I searched the forum and the net too but couldn't find a similar issue.
