I'm trying to get quodlibet 0.14 installed, so I wrote an ebuild for it (my first ever), and it required gst-python >=0.8.10, which wasn't in portage, so I wrote an ebuild for that. But that required a newer version of gstreamer than is in portage, and the gstreamer ebuilds are far more complex than those two. I first tried working from an older ebuild, but there were too many weird patches and compilation hacks to dig through. Then I tried the fluidportage ebuild, but as I don't actually USE fluidportage that didn't work, and I'd really rather not mess with it (not interested in CVS/SVN unless absolutely necessary).
So, long story short, I was wondering if someone had a gstreamer 0.9.* ebuild, or a CVS one. |

Actually the current ebuild will work with gstreamer-0.9.1. If you have a portage overlay directory, simply copy media-libs/gstreamer to it, rename the lastest ebuild to gsteamer-0.9.1.ebuild, 'ebuild gstreamer-0.9.1.ebuild manifest' and then emerge it. I tried it on newer gstreamer version but I'm running into a problem with setting the -fPIC option on AMD64. Too bad, I'd like to get to the latest version in order to compile a rather interesting video editor call Diva.
Hope this helps!
