make dep && make clean bzImage returns:
i2c-pcf-epp.o multiple definition of irq_driver_lock
i2c-elektor.o first defined here.
Leaving directory /usr/src/linux-2.4.20-gentoo-r1/drivers/i2c
Hoping someone can shed some light as to why this is happening.
I've built from stage1 .. stage2 .. |

I think there is a conflict with 2 of i2c drivers... Have you any use of these? _________________ Nous autres, mordus d'informatique, préférons par-dessus tout passer notre temps à bidouiller nos ordinateurs, plutôt que les utiliser pour faire quelque chose de productif. [Dave Barry] |

Don't think so: I'm just using a Compaq Deskpro EN here at work, so nothing exotic. I removed i2c from the kernel and its official compiled
I also did a Google search as well and it returned:
i2c-adap-ibm_ocp.c ,i2c-elektor.c ,i2c-pcf-epp.c : Moved driver_lock to
module level and renamed to irq_driver_lock to avoid conflict with
driver_lock semaphore in i2c-core.

Might be of help to someone - thanks for the assistance. |
