When I try and emerge pcmcia-cs using:
# USE = "-x" emerge pcmcia-cs
I ge the following error message:
* Determining the location of the kernel source code
* Found kernel source directory:
* /usr/src/linux
* Found sources for kernel version:
* 2.6.13-gentoo-r3
*
* The package requires the in-kernel PCMCIA drivers to be enabled
* for kernel 2.6.x.

!!! linux-2.6.13-gentoo-r3 without PCMCIA support detected

I'm trying to get my Linksys WPC11 wireless card to work on a laptop. My eth0 connection to works fine, but I would like to be able to use my Linksys wireless card also. I would appreciate any help. _________________ Ken Hill

Can I enable pcmcia kernel support after I have installed the Linux OS on my laptop? If so, then how do I do that? I used 'genkernel' to originally configure my kernal. Also, how do I enable wireless support and wlan card driver; is that something I need to 'emerge'? _________________ Ken Hill
