so i was doing an emerge world -uD came back an hour later, and everything started failing, couldn't even open a terminal, so i restarted and got a Kernel panic: not syncing - no init found.
Booted up, my live cd and tried to chroot and i get a
Code:
chroot: cannot run command `/bin/bash' no such file or directory
My grub conf looks okay.

fixed it... an upgrade from glibc 2.3.5-2005* to glibc 2.3.6 borked the symlinks

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112082

Fixable:
1: boot up livecd
2: mount partition
3: run 'chroot /mnt/gentoo /sbin/ldconfig'

the symlinks will be fixed
