Hey guys,

I am looking for a method, applet, tool or whatever that allows me to use SSH from a webpage. Basicly I want't to install some page on my apache server that allows me to 'run' SSH from a browser. Webmin already has somesort of limited functionality that way, the SSH Shell page, but I would like a fully fledged SSH client.

Any hints?

I did a search on google and found many java scripts for this.
Maybe this can be interesting?

The problem with those clients is that they still use a remote connection, basicly they are Java "putty" clients. I need a client that connects locally so to say and then pipes in and output via the webserver.

if you're connecting 'locally' to the machine the webservice is running on, why ssh? if nothing 'crosses the wire', you don't need the encryption benefits, do ya? just a shell available on the remote machine, made available through http(s!)?

anywayz, imho, this is one of those 'very bad ideas' (tm)

i need this too, im gonna try the cgi script too. but the main thing you loose is the encryption, right? cause the server is just encrypted to itself, not to the line outside. anyways, isnt there a way to apply https encryption to it?

http://www.psychogenic.com/en/products/PHPsh.php

here is another, however i would prefer some java connection to be able to get it more real-time if possible. maybe you could add a password to even enter the applet then, cause security is of course very voulnerable in this case, just giving out a script like that to everyone.
