Hi,
yes - I searched the forums but none of the topics helped me so far.
I want to clone my laptops screen to a beamer but my problem is I can't set the correct resolution for the beamer.
It's a Samsung X10 with a nvidia 440go card - I tried the twinview/dualhead/whatever feature which works fine with a second monitor/lcd but the beamer just shows blue...
Then I set up 'clone' in the bios and turned off twinview - now I can see my desktop but with a virtual resolution (1024x786 on ~640x480?) where I have to scroll with the mouse. With an external lcd the resolution is correct again and also in text mode I have 1024x768 on the beamer - only X won't look like it should.
I read something about missing ddc signals (?) but how can I set up a fixed/forced resolution on the beamer?
I found a few people having the same problem but none had a solution... _________________ Kernel panic: I have no root and I want to scream

FYI - I had to set a HorizontalSync for the monitor (which I hadn't before because it's a tft via dvi) and now I got my screen with 1024x768 on the beamer. _________________ Kernel panic: I have no root and I want to scream |
