[Solved]Where are emerge packages stored?

Where are emerge packages stored? For example lets say wvdial.

2 other things: if you emerge slocate you can run updatedb and then just type "locate <file>"

Also there is a textfile called "world" where there is a list of all the emerged packages. I dont know if you want that or distfiles
