Hey everyone,

Strangest thing, but for one channel in particular, xchat has given me problems. It will show me that I've joined the channel, and will even tell me globally who joins leaves and gets voiced there automatically by me =p however it won't actually show me the channel in a tab, so I can't actually chat there. Is anyone else experiencing this glitch? Or am I doing something wrong..

I have a similar error, but it's on a "person" basis. If I received /msgs or did a /msg or /ctcp myself, a new tab would've opened up. However, everything just stays in the channel tab that I may happen to be in within the server. So I can't really use any triggers.

I have the same problem since I upgraded to 2.4.5.
Mandriva is running the same version here but without the failure.

All messages come to the server tab with a "GARBAGE: " in front. The xchat irc-channel didn't know about that. A gentoo bug?
I also erased my ~/.xchat2 but it's still the same.

Heh, I'm sorry I never went back to post my solution. In my case, a script I was running caused the channel to get hidden, so stop using all scripts and try again. Sounds like your case is different and this might not work, but hey, it's worth a shot.

So I realized that it's a special ppc bug. 2.4.5 has this bug for big endian machines like ppc and sparc I was told in the xchat channel. So I can down- or upgrade (which I did to ~ppc).
bug report
