|
|
I can't figure out how on earth to set the bit rate for a wireless network card in /etc/conf.d/net. Uh hu I've wandered the net, the wonderful Gentoo forums that have gotten me through so many other problems. But zip nil nada, can't find an example to bend to my needs this time.
The card is working, having gone through the guide at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?style=printable&part=4&chap=4
I am using the Wireless Tools setup. I can change the bit rate using the iwconfig tool fine.
Code: |
iwconfig eth0 rate 5.5M auto
|
Question basically, how do i get the effect that command has working from /etc/conf.d/net.
Please some one save me from the torment |

*bump*
Does any one set their bit rate with wireless cards?
I need to slow the thing down, going to quick causes the old p120 to crash. Leaving the Automatic selection speed just loves to try and run at 22mb which the poor old things cant handle. Having tested it at a manually configured speed, its all TWOK (Tested and Working OK). Just need some help with the config file(s) to perminantly select the speed.
