I left kde-3.1 emerging on a fresh system last night, only to wake up to:
| Code: | ERROR: kde-base/kdeaddons-3.1-r1 failed.
Function kde_src_compile, Line 117, Exitcode 2
died running emake, kde_src_compile:make |
I get similar errors when trying trying to emerge remaining separate componenets specifically.
I've tried deletinig the problematic distfile (i.e. kdeaddons) and emerging and still get the same error.
What gives? |

Hi,
Had same problems, dit emerge -up kde, looked for the packages to install and started two hours ago with: emerge kde addons--> succes!
now is running kde admin, see what happens then go on to the other remaining three and than i will do a emerge rsync...if that works çause ther are problems with that.. anyway hope it helps  |

I tried that also and got the same error. But just on a hunch (and since most of kde did emerge), I tried starting up kdm...then logged in to kde. Haven't noticed anything running funny yet, but at least I've got my desktop. I can handle whatever from here.

Ok, I'm a moron (no flames please). When I first installed the system, I was in a minimalist mood, so I set my USE variable to . I changed that and now everything is tip top.
