A few days ago my computer started crashing a lot, which mostly happened when I was using tvtime, so I thoght there might have been problems with the kernel and upgraded it which resulted in every sound using software crashing and lm_sensors not loading (even though ALL i2c modules are enabled in the kernel), the random crashes were not fixed, so then I scanned everything for viruses and found none
all ideas and suggestions would be mighty happy
oh, I'm using gentoo-sources2.6.14-r2 which was upgraded from gentoo-sources2.6.13-r5
(currently I'm on the old one because sound and lm_sensor work normaly)

Maybe it's a hardware problem. Check your RAM.
If it is a laptop it may be overheating - use power management. |
