This is my first post to the forum because just about every problem I've had so far has been answered by other posts I've found... so thanks to the Gentoo community for being so helpful. It's one of the reasons I ditched Debian.
Here's the problem I'm running into:
I'm trying to use the bittorrent btlaunchmany.py python script to automatically download any torrents I put in my ~/torrents/ directory. The problem is, when I add a new torrent to the directory, it creates the files I'm downloading, but the permissions are exclusive to root, not my user account, toddb. _________________ --

what user are you running the btlaunchmany as?
I run btlaunchmanycurses in my torrents directory as my user, and all my downloads are owned by my user. _________________ eXklusve
