I have emerged nagios and nagios-plugins. I have emerge apach and configured it for nagios. But when I got to the section for making configuration changes to nagios my /usr/nagios/etc directory doesnt exist. When I reemerge it, it says that it is kosher and the directory is still not present.

How do I get nagios to work under gentoo?

My nagios configurationfiles are in /etc/nagios. Maybe you find yours also there.
