dvdrom missing in action

Hi there
I have a relatively simple question I set my cd writer up under scsi emulation which is now working but the dvdrom stoped working in xine .I think what I need to do is change the pathing but I am not sure of what the new path would be .How could I find out if I do a cdrecord -scanbus it comes up
0,1,0 1) 'PIONEER ' 'DVD-ROM DVD-103 ' '1.16' Removable CD-ROM

any help would be muchly apreciated
