I think they would both be OK - both use the IPW2200 driver. I haven't used one for an install, so I don't know if the install CD will detect it, but chances are higher than other cards as a version of the IPW2200 driver is in the current kernel tree.
I have one of the IPW2915abg mini-pci cards - it works fine, watch out for what (if any) connectors are on the card - My main reason for buying the card I bought was that it had connections for the pre-existing laptop antenna - wheras the IPW2200 I was looking at had an integrated antenna - which presumably wouldn't perform as well (maybe). But if you don't have antenna connections in the mini-pci bay, then you'd obviously want the integrated card. |
