Hi,
I am running gentoo 64bit on an amd-64 and have just compiled a new kernel (version 2.6.13-gentoo-r5). Compilation and install went fine, but when I boot the new kernel i get a long list of errors 'unable to remove...'. It seems like during startup the system wants to remove every entry in /sys/devices/. I have no idea why it tries to do this. Can I just manually (as root) remove these entries and boot the new kernel or is there a different solutions. Thanks in advance for any info. |
