Just installed universal 2005.1 with kernel 2.6.12-r2 on VMWare 5.5 from Stage3. Had no problems until after I emerged gnome. Shutdown now comes to halt after "Saving random seed [OK]".
What can I do to find out what the problem is? |

Adding the -h flag solves the problem. Can you tell me why I need to use it? I've now noticed that issuing a CTRL-ALT-DEL when the shutdown stops will force the shutdown to continue (followed by a reboot of course). |
