Hi everybody!

I have a laptop since April and I'm having a few problems with it.
This laptop is an Ahtec Signal X-9600M (Centrino 2000Mhz, 1 Gb RAM,
running kernel 2.6.13-r3 and acpid 1.0.4-r2).

One of my problems is that the battery status is not updated at runtime
unless I connect the AC power supply before I boot the machine.

Then I can remove the AC, and the battery status keeps being reported.

Anyway, events in the battery status are not automatically received.
I must force ACPI to read the events the battery reports by changing the
LCD brightness with the Fn keys. I have to do this every time I need
to know the battery remaining charge.

I tried to recompile my DSDT using iasl (2 warnings fixed),
but nothing changed.

I have been searching for information about this and similar problems,
but couldn't find anything that could help.

Any ideas?
Thanx in advance.
