|

AFter a lot of searching, I have finally found a note-taking app that can run on both Windows and Linux.
Problem is, the gentoo-portage version is the old one (version 7) that has no security.
What I need is an app that keeps a LOT of notes on many topics AND holds the passwords of my clients securely. Freemind is perfect. Oh, and it has to be stored on a USB key - it's a portability issue.
Does anyone know if Freemind 8 will be made available on portage?
Or - does anyone know of an alternative? A wikki would be perfect - but I'm not always online when I need a password, or the notes on HOW to get online.
TuxCards is ideal - but not for Windows and the newer version is not available on Cygwin. Freemind is great - but version 8 with security is not available on portage.

Right. It's hard-masked. I have it now, thanks.
Is there a way to know WHY it is hardmasked? Is my system now at risk? _________________ Who controls the past, controls the future. Who controls the present, controls the past. |

You can check the changelog and author's website.
In Gentoo, software can't be marked "stable" unless it has gone 30 days without a "serious" bug report, AFAIK. It has to be reasonably decent to even get into portage |

I've got the following java enviorments

joshua freemind # java-config -L

Other java-apps seems to be working quite nice. I've tried freemind-0.8.0 and freemind-0.7.1-r1 both gives the same error, so I guess this has something to do with my java enviroment.. any suggestions? |
