I did install gentoo linux on my laptop HP nc6220 and running gentoo-sources-2.6.14-r2.

When I am booting to windows with out AC pluged in then in idle CPU is running at 387MHz. If AC is pluged it's running at 798MHz in idle. When I am changing AC plug IN/OUT durring windows is running nothing changing with frequency. low frequency id depend on AC state when windows is booting.

When I am booting to gentoo I have always low frequency 798. What do you think, is it okay, or it's should take care of AC state?

  driver: centrino
CPUs which need to switch frequency at the same time: 0
  hardware limits: 800 MHz - 1.73 GHz
available frequency steps: 1.73 GHz, 1.33 GHz, 1.07 GHz, 800 MHz
available cpufreq governors: ondemand, powersave, userspace
current policy: frequency should be within 800 MHz and 1.73 GHz.

current CPU frequency is 800 MHz (asserted by call to hardware).

As you can see i have nearly the same cpu, it dosen't go further down than 800mhz. how you get 3xx in windows i don't know, its probably not correct.
