I have installed kde-3.5. Today I wanted to test the transucency. But some program named kompmgr is missing. It seems it comes with kwin. I have already installed kwin but I am still unable to find the program. Please help... I don't want to emerge the whole kde again as suggested by this post.
EDIT:
It would be great if some one with running transluceny give the output of: $ equery b kompmgr

Output of equery b kompgr gives:
Code: | [ Searching for file(s) kompmgr in *... ]
kde-base/kwin-3.5.0 (/usr/kde/3.5/bin/kompmgr)
|
I think you need to recompile kwin with the xcomposite flag set? |

Installing kwin (and kicker too) with USE flag=xcomposite did the trick. It worked without installing xcompmgr |
