OK, I know ck-sources are in portage, but not the 2.6.15 versions, as they're still marked as pre-release by kernel.org and Con Kolivas himself.
And yes, this probably is a Bad Idea, but I'd still like to use the latest patches.
So, my question is this; do I need to apply the patches from kernel.org to a 2.6.14 vanilla, then patch that to the ck version? Or can I just apply the ck patch? I figured it might be easier to extract the patch file from CK's site, but it won't extract, only bzcat works.
Cheers, DarkWeaver. |

You need to get 2.6.14, then apply the 2.6.15-rc2 patch, then apply the 2.6.15-rc2-ck2 patch to that. |

Also, if you're on stable arch, you can do an:
Code: | echo "sys-kernel/vanilla-sources ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords ; emerge -av vanilla-sources |
Then download and apply ck patchset. |

Cool, thanks for the replies. I spose emerging vanilla then patching that would have been easier than injecting my kernel, but I got it to work in the end, and am now using it. |
