Also, /usr/share/misc/mail.help is missing.

Hmm... I can't delete my email or get help. Anyone got any ideas?

Just installed net-mail/mailx on 1.4_rc1_r2 and read my mail. When I exited I got this:

| I just had this problem and I fixed it by downgrading to mailx-8.1.1.11 |

Thanks...  - Perhaps the latest version should be masked?
However, now I get: | Code: | | mail: Cannot create lockfile /var/mail/simon.lock: Error creating temporary lockfile |
The permissions on my mail directory are: | Code: | | drwxr-xr-x 2 root mail 4096 Dec 12 13:13 mail |
Is it safe to change the permissions here? Should I need to?
Could this have something to do with my unmerging sendmail end emerging qmail?

same problem here..
how can i downmerge to that version?

Ok I unmerge to old version and now it works I suppose that mailx 8.12 should be masked..
The procedure (just if any other noob reads it)
emerge -C mailx
(delete mailx)
emerge /usr/portage/net-mail/mailx/mailx-8.1.1.11.ebulid |

Four months later still this bug!! I install mailx now in a new machine and the same error!!
Any dev here?
