Here is a screenshot:

I turned off transparency (or rather, put opacity up to 100%) but that didn't really help. |

Have you checked the Sourceforge bug page to see if this is a common problem?
I saw some comments on the download page where users suggested that kicker be placed at the top of the screen and hidden when using ksmoothdock. (assuming that ksmoothdock is at the bottom). |

The problem seems to be only in Fluxbox (or rather, it works fine in KDE). Kind of annoying since I wanted to use it in Fluxbox because the toolbar kinda sucks. I'll check the bugreports and see if maybe there's a way to deal with this. |

Hmmmm. Use it in Fluxbox. I like the sound of that. I thought that it looked pretty cool, and I run Fluxbox. Do you have the panel disabled in your Fluxbox init file? (or moved it to the top of the screen)
EDIT: Also, did you have the kde USE flag enabled when you built fluxbox? |

I, too, have this same problem with trying to use ksmoothdock in Xfce. I get the same garbage regardless of whether I'm running nautilus or xfdesktop to draw the desktop (not sure if that's related, but I thought I'd mention it).
Is it because I'm otherwise running a pure gtk environment? Any solutions, anyone? |
