I'd like to mount the hard disk from my dearly departed Indigo2 (dead ps, about the only mode of failure on those things) on my Linux machine. The Indigo2 was running 6.5.18 or thereabouts. (It died a couple years ago.) I have enabled support for sgi partitioning in the kernel and of course xfs, but I still can't mount my sgi disk. I dimly remember talk of linux xfs not supporting something or another and this making the use of irix-formatted xfs partitions on linux impossible. Sorry to be so vague about that, but is it still the case, or am I forgetting something obvious?
thanks! |

http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/faq.html#useirixxfs suggests it is possible, however, only under certain circumstances.
Perhaps you could ask on their mailing list? _________________ Stuart Longland (a.k.a Redhatter, VK4MSL)
