Hi pals, I would like to run some 32bit apps on my fresh installed Gentoo on ia64... How can I do this? ELF compatibility is compiled into the kernel and support for MISC binaries is a module.
Thanks

Add the useflag multilib into your make.conf. Explanation for the effect: equery uses gcc
Than do an emerge --sync; emerge --update --deep --newuse world ! Hope this helps a little .......... _________________ LG

Dear dawe,
i cant say nothing about this, because myself dont have a 64bit system. To compile your system with this flag was only an possibility to find out, whats going on! _________________ LG

Well, doesn't matter. It seems that the emulation layer works fine.
Thanks a lot.
