|
|
Hi
I got a webserver, and i have seen some people sending bulkmail from a scripted page not using their own name...
My question is, how can i check that the name listed in the "from" really is a mailuser (OR the name in "to", couse some people have a page which sends mail to themselve)
This filter should be placed @ mailserver, i cannot access the pagesources...
Thanx |

one small fix would be to lock in your script more tightly, i.e. have few web-controlled parameters.
Another possible sollution would be to check the MX domain of the sender.
i.e. if its user@foobar.com, check the MX record of foobar.com. this helps weeding out many spelling mistakes in email adresses and greatly reduces the number of bounced messages ... |

wait a sec...
I am NOT the maker of the scripts...
I am just the ISP..
Thats why i have to filter it between the webserver and the mailserver... |
