Bluetooth phone

This is perhaps not gentoo related at all, but gentoo (2.6.14-r2) is what I am using.

I have a bluetooth enable phone, but I am not under any GPRS (too pricy) plan. Is is possible to use bluetooth connection (or infrared, or USB) to use the laptop's internet connection (to download email and such).

Or am I daydreaming?

That all depends on the OS of the phone. PDA-phones usually have this option, but some phones have limited PC-connectivity options. Synchronizing email is an option you'll find on most recent bt-enabled phones.
