after i boot into gentoo it intilizes the stuff and my screen goes blank i dont know how to fix it
if anyone has a sugestion on how to fix it i could use it

Perhaps its an X problem... Have you rigged X to start automatically?

I guess that means no ...

When posting problems please give us some info to work on - that first post is basically useless.
- do you see the grub menu ???.
- can you choose Gento, and do you get messages after choosing Gentoo ???
- does the screen then go blank ???.

i can see the grub menu and chosse gentoo obut after i choose it it goes into its loading thing with all those things and after like 10 seconds the screen just goes blank

Probably a framebuffer issue - what options do you have on the kernel line in grub.conf ??.

my grub configuration is:

default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Gentoo
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.14-gentoo-r2 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3 udev
initrd /boot/initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.14-gentoo-r12

if it helps i have an ATI x800 XL graphics card
