Perhaps its an X problem... Have you rigged X to start automatically? _________________ iMac G4 1GHz :: q6600 //2x 500GB//2GB RAM//8600GT//Gentoo :: MacBook Pro//2.53GHz |

I guess that means no ...
When posting problems please give us some info to work on - that first post is basically useless.
- do you see the grub menu ???.
- can you choose Gento, and do you get messages after choosing Gentoo ???
- does the screen then go blank ???. |

Probably a framebuffer issue - what options do you have on the kernel line in grub.conf ??. |

my grub configuration is:
default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title=Gentoo
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.14-gentoo-r2 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3 udev
initrd /boot/initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.14-gentoo-r12
if it helps i have an ATI x800 XL graphics card |
