|
|
Hi, After portage upgraded gcc to 3.4.4 on the x86 platform, I went ahead with the upgrade guide;
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/x86/gcc-upgrading-guide.xml
My "emerge -e world" stops when trying to recompile Kicker, with the below error.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

OMFG maybe your disk was full ? "No such file or directory" is not a gcc error, so look if your system was able to unpack all files from the tar.bz2 archive. |

Thanks for your reply........
I'm surprised that 40gb is not enough, for a recompile?. I'll move some files to other partitions, and post the outcome here. |

Yep
That was it......I actually had 40GB of space filled up with various bits........I ran;
rm -rf /var/tmp/portage/*, rm -rf /usr/portage/distfiles/*
and was able to continue the compile. |
