Hi
im newbie to gentoo, i have a notebook with a sis900(ethernet).
i can see the module loaded in the lsmod, i can see it in the lspci, but when i give dhcpcd eth0 i got a timeout error message.
I got a redhat installation on the same machine, and the net works fine under the redhat..
I've tried many things to bring the net up under gentoo, but i cant...
I'm before the stage instalation...
I'm under a cable conection.

Did your ethernet work off of the install CD?
