|
|
So I recently upgraded to the new gcc, rebuilt all packages and recompiled the kernel. But for some reason it looks like my battery isn't charging up any more. I have a IBM x20 and normally when the battery is charging there'll be a green flashing light, but instead i have a orange light(which means low on batteries). Also, I know there's nothing wrong with the battery or charger because if I boot up in windows there's no problem at all with charging. I've noticed that during boot up of gentoo the computer hangs a bit on this line...
Code: |
ACPI: AC Adapter [AC] (on-line)
|
Any chance this has to do with the problem? If anyone has any idea what happened please help
thanks!
Edit: Not sure what happened, but after charging my battry in windows when I started gentoo up again there was no problem. Since it's working now, I wont worry about it until the probelm comes up again

This is definitly a kernel power options problem. However, since I have never dealt with laptops and linux, I would not know how to fix this.
Just take a browse throught the kernel's config pages and see if you can find something for you laptop. |
