|
|
Hi, I'm wanting to do exactly as the title suggests. I downloaded an x86 install CD, and I'm wondering what to put for the CFLAGS and CHOST (-march=... in particular) for the best result. Also, is there any advantage in bootstrapping, or should I just go for the regular Stage3 install? I had a look around for this but I couldn't find much... all I found was the 32bit Chroot guide (should I use the same options as that?). Thanks.

Hi.
If you want to install a 32bit system on an AMD64, you should follow the Installation Handbook for x86. You should configure your system for athlon-xp. _________________ Jorge.

Thanks. I was thinking that, so thanks for confirming it. |

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. If you feel the issue has been addressed, please add [solved] to the thread title (edit first post).
Have a good install and happy "gentooing". _________________ Jorge.
