Hi ,
when i load a video to MPlayer i get the following error :
Fatal Error!
Error opening/initialiazing the selected video (-vo) device.
i should add that its the first time i'm trying to play a video and haven't installed any codecs in case i need to. |

Try in a console. It should give you a list with available video output drivers. Try playing your video with | Code: | | mplayer -vo <driver from list> <videofile> |
If the first command gives you an empty list, try reemerging mplayer with adjusted USE flags. See | Code: | | equery uses mplayer |
for a detailed list of available USE flags. |
