|
|
Hi,
i've recently installed Xorg 7. Because of some compiling problems I was adviced to switch to xorg-x11 with opengl-update. But I get:
Quote: | [17:05][root@monade:/home/matteo]$ opengl-update xorg-x11
* Unrecognized option: xorg-x11
Usage: opengl-update [<options>] <GL implementation> |
My Use-flags:
Quote: | USE="real imap samba arts cups foomaticdb ppds usb other_var1 other_var2 dri opengl" |
Any idea?
Thanks, Matthias

Try to use eselect opengl. I don't even have anymore opengl-update on my system. Both
Code: | media-libs/mesa-6.4.1
x11-base/xorg-server-0.99.4-r2 |
depend on it, so you should have it installed.
Code: | # eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:
[1] nvidia *
[2] xorg-x11
# eselect opengl set 1
Switching to nvidia OpenGL interface... done |

dgaffuri, thanks for your answer.

Description: OpenGL-like graphic library for Linux
$ eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:

So, obviously xorg-x11 is not in the list. Unfortunately I don't know how to get it into the list Is there something basic I have to do? |

It's strange, AFAICS it should come with mesa
Code: | # equery b /usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGL.so
[ Searching for file(s) /usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGL.so in *... ]
media-libs/mesa-6.4.1 (/usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGL.so -> libGL.so.1.2) |
Maybe trying to re-emerge it? _________________ Adopt an unanswered post

it seems that xorg-x11 is now xorg-x11.org
at least for me this worked:
Code: | opengl-update xorg-x11.org |
