Hi all,
I have encountered a problem. When I reboot the computer, the computer will not auto restart and need me to press the restart button. Sometimes it will, but most of the time it will not. My mother broad is Asus P5S800-VM and Gentoo kernel is 2.6.14. I already upgraded to the newest bios version. Any suggeston?

Don't really understand what your problem is but if it's roughly the same as I have/had maybe you'll find the kernel parameter 'reboot' useful. I load my kernel with 'reboot=b'. Maybe you can spin off that idea _________________ To understand recursion, you must first understand recursion |

Hi,
The situation is that, I press "Restart Computer" to reboot the computer in KDE. After the system shutdown the processes, then it show a message "restarting system...." Waited for a while, it still nothing happened, then I need to press the computer resett button to start the computer. Sometimes after the "restarting system...." message, the computer can boot up the computer without press the reset button manually, but it happen less. |

That's what I guessed. And you've got my solution to getting my system to fully reboot. _________________ To understand recursion, you must first understand recursion |
