Ok, I've got to the point where I'm trying to get mythfrontend working. mythfilldatabase seemed to work, however when I startup mythfrontend and go into WatchTV I just get a blank screen.
Here is the output when I statup mythfrontend and then go into WatchTV:

It continues to print this indefinatly until I stop the process.
mythbackend is runnning and the directory /mnt/store exists and should be accessable by anyone.
I've also done the cat /dev/video0 > vid.mpg test and it captures just fine, so its not a problem with my hardware or the ivtv drivers. Not that it should matter, but I'm using a MCE PVR-500 by the way.
Just for reference, here is my output from mythfilldatabase. It looks like it ran ok.

Can you stop mythbackend and check if the nfslockfile is present? When the backend is stopped it should not be there. Just remvoe this file and restart the backend. |

this is my guide to the PVR 500. my guess is that mythtv wasn't tuned to any specific channel and you reloaded the module, or ivtv came up with one tuner as a "no tuner". if you have other problems, refer to the guide.
