After recompiling vlc, it segfault right after the start, giving me not a lot of hints where it failed, anybody else have this problem ?

does it work without all the arguments?
EDIT: do you have video4linux support in your kernel? |

no, crashes the same way.
v4l is builtin on a 2.6.16-r4 kernel |

You have outdated VLC plugins in /usr/lib/vlc most likely. |

deleted that dir and rebuild, same seg fault
I'll try to built an older version |
